  • Alright Southern California...

    ...Heads Up!!

Over the past 2 months, my friend Matthew Saville and I
have been comparing notes, shooting landscapes, and slowly
    merging some of our business.

From exploring tidepools, to capturing eclipses and falling
asleep atop cliffs beside the Pacific... All in search of that
    "Perfect Shot".

Along the way, we've pulled a few people along with us,
and they've been hard at work convincing us to share some
of the knowledge and experience we've gathered over the
    past couple of years.

See, Matt is easily one of the finest nature photographers I
know, and his technical knowledge and skill is difficult to
even fathom. My expertise however is primarily in capturing
people... Trying to show who they really are, and how complete
    their joy is.

That said, if you ever get a chance to see the two of us in action,
you're sure to get a kick out of it, we're a truly dynamic duo, haha!

Back To The Matter At Hand...
After many conversations, and a bit of good convincing by our
dear friend Mary we've decided to put together the first in a series
of workshops... Starting with beginners, and slowly working our
way up to more advanced techniques.

The focus during our half day workshop, next month in Orange
County will be to help our attendees
    make their images truly
    stand out from the crowd...

Here are a few of the topics we'll be covering:

    Portraits...

    Eye Me

How to take portraits of people that really make you think,
look 'deeper' and hopefully leave viewer feeling like they
know the person better, having seen it.

    Blurring Water...

    Matt Moving water

We'll teach you exactly what you need to do, to blur water like
a pro, even if you're using consumer equipment, or a point and
    shoot camera.

    Low Light...

    Moon-Shot

The EASIEST steps to shoot pro-quality images in low light situations...
Even without blurring them like crazy, or ending up with an insane
    amount of noise.

    Composition...

    Matt Lens

All the 'rules' of proper composition, plus, how and when
to BREAK them to make your images truly unique (without
    looking uneducated )

    Capturing Action...

    Uncle Eric2

We'll take you by the hand and show you exactly what you need
to do (With YOUR camera), to capture all your favorite action shots.
[Even at 100+MPH like the shot above!]

    Group Photos....

    Wedding Party Eureka

I see this botched over, and over again... Arranging people can be
so frustrating! We'll give you some practical tips to help you
understand exactly what to do so people in your photos don't look
stiff or unnatural... Which leaves room for fun, no matter how ugly
    the surroundings may be!

    Best Of All...

    Matt Teaching

Matt and I both have a similar teaching style.... Though we recognize
the need to explain some things from a stage, we feel it's more important
to spend the time working one-on-one, or in small groups with our
    students.

That's why we're limiting this event to 25 students or less.

Our goal is to offer as much personalized training as possible.
If you're interested in joining us, at this workshop, or at another
somewhere else in the US (or around the Globe) please fill in
    the brief form below.

Matt and I will get an email off to you with more details in the
    very near future

    Fun (And A Surprising Amount
    of Sun)... In The Redwoods!

That's right ladies and gents; it's time for a travel story
of wedding bliss, foggy nights, tasty eats, and of course
    our beautiful world.

    _________________________________________________

It was early... The pre-sunrise light fought with clouds
and raced endlessly upward, fighting to hide the moon's
glow, as it stripped the cobwebs of exhaustion from my eyes.

Traffic was blessedly quiet as we rolled into downtown Orlando,
hopping on the toll road toward the airport I let out a little grin
as I glanced at my Uncle Eric, dead asleep in the passenger seat.

We parted ways at the terminal, he was flying to Chicago for the
start of his workweek, flying all over the world.

Me? I was flying standby to San Francisco, then hopping a "puddle
jumper" up to Eureka for Christin and Jason's wedding

After 19 hours of travel and multiple missed flights, we finally broke
through a thick layer of Pacific fog, and I caught site of the delightful
    redwoods that surrounded the area.

The gracious and lovely mother of the Bride picked me up from
the airport, and brought me the keys to the car I'd be driving (The same
keys that I somehow forgot to leave with them when I left, and had
to overnight back to them!). After a few minutes spent visiting with
the bride, I checked in at my hotel, and decided to go out and see what
    the area had to offer!

I could very LITERALLY write 2-3 more blog posts just from the time
I spent exploring Eureka, Arcata, Ferndale, and more... The people I met,
the dogs and horses I played with, and the sunset I was able to capture.

It was wonderful... But this story is all about the wedding

Friday morning I woke up early... Actually that's only partially true.
I woke up at almost noon MY time

The items to accomplish for the day began with a trip to a local nail salon
to snag some images of the Bridal party getting ready for the big day.
My next step was to head out scouting for portrait locations. Christin (the
Bride) had recommended one that she thought would be nice, and was she
    EVER right?!

From the moment I pulled up, I could barely wipe the smile from my face.
Redwood trees towered above me, dwarfing my 6'4" frame as if I were a
small child playing beneath a pier.

I had a blast capturing the mood, and scouting for where I would shoot the
next day, all with that little 15mm fisheye... But then I broke out the 70-200
F2.8L I was carrying, and tried to find a unique detail or two.

(Something that is surely not hard to do in a redwood forest... Even one
covered with bike paths in the middle of a town!)

    "By A Thread"

    Flower - Redwood

After an hour or so playing in the woods, I decided it was high time for
some lunch, and headed back toward the ocean, in hopes of finding some
    tasty eats.

I did too... At a small Irish pub that just happened to serve smoked salmon
sandwiches. MAN, I love the Pacific Northwest

    "Hunger"

    Salmon Sandwich

I spent the rest of my afternoon exploring all Eureka had to offer... From
quaint camera shops, to hippies, great coffee, and buildings that warned
you to run away from them if there was an earthquake.

    What a cool place!

After my exploring, I headed to the Church to help set up (I'm a full service
photographer ) and practice with them during the reception.

I've already shown you some of the photos from that, a couple of posts ago,
but I can't resist posting this one...

    "A Homeschooler's Concept of Smoking"

    Candle

That one just cracks me up!

Early the next morning, we all arrived at the Church to prepare.
(And now YOU get to prepare for more rapid-fire photos and less
    words )

    "Readyness"

There's just something about this picture... I think my friend
Matthew Saville hit the nail on the head when he described it:

"I think that one is the most beautiful...with her lips half covered
by the makeup artist..it makes her look gorgeous....just something
    about it...supermodel gorgeous."

So there you have it Mrs. Christin, any time you're in the mood
to look supermodelish (not that you don't normally) just cover half
    of your lips, haha

    "Sisters, Servants"

    Sisters

I'm always so blessed when I see people washing feet, it truly
is the epitome of being a servant... Christ did it for a reason, eh?
The Bride's sister was cleaning her (the bride's) feet in preperation
    for the day.

    "Words Of Wisdom"

    Words Of Wisdom

The Bride chose to read while her hair was being finished.

    "Mr. Jason Hunt"

    The Groom

A genuinely rare moment where he wasn't beaming!
A few minutes after I took that somber shot, I spotted
a few ceremonial scarves/ robe appendages, and promptly
    threw it around Jason's neck.

His brother grabbed one a moment later, and started dancing
and singing in what seemed to be Yiddish!

    "Boys Will Be Boys"

    Boys will be boys

It wasn't all fun and games though... In preparation for
meeting his bride, the groom spent a few minutes in prayer
    with his best man.

    "Prayers For ________ (Life)"

    Prayer With Friends

    I adore that shot.
    Good men.

My new favorite order of a wedding day includes doing
all of the photos BEFORE the ceremony, in order to have
more time with family and friends. I also think it is extremely
fun and endearing to watch the groom as he struggles to catch
a glimpse of his Bride's reflection in my lens.

    So cute!

    "Reflections Of His Future"

    Reflections of the future

And that my friends, is all for tonight...
Actually, here's a teaser photo (or two) for the finale of this post series

    "Vintage"

    Vintage

    "All Natural"

    No PS

The light in the woods there is amazing.
This shot is straight out of the camera.

Talk to you all again soon, lots of new things on the
horizon that I'm sure some of you will be particularly
    excited to see!

  • Flash Forward...

...So I Don't End Up Shot!

It's been nearly a year since I was last in Laguna Beach.
A year filled with seemingly endless prodding from the
wonderful Mary, Jenny and Bri, to post about my time there.

And yet, life did what life does, and it continued slipping
    through the veritable 'cracks'.

This time however, they've been holding me captive... Making
me promise to post my pictures, and experiences before I'm
    allowed to leave.

    What's a man to do?

(Well, obviously a man is to do what the women tell him to, right?)

    ____________________________________________________

Today's tale of triumph begins on board a small plane... Winging our
way out of Eureka's foggy little airport, Southward to San Francisco.

    Flight Down

I was happy to meet a couple of the coolest people from the
wedding in the seats behind me, so we shared a quick lunch
in San Francisco before catching our connecting flights to the
    LA area.

The two I met were siblings, and one of them is aiming to be
a photographer... Watch out for posts about him in the possible future

On the drive down from LAX, my dear friend Bri snorted a
mere 16 times (though one of them lasted 3 minutes straight,
so it may count as more than one haha.

Shortly after I arrived, I was forced to begin my slaving away
in the kitchen. Pork tenderloins sauteed in pineapple, garlic, and
a handful of other spices ensued.

    "Cooking"

    Eric and Bri - Cooking

The rest of the week has been filled practically endless photo
shoots, long walks, busted butts, and extraordinary light.

Tuesday I finally had the chance to meet a couple of my favorite
xanga people Matthew Saville, and Alex - 'LexyBeast'. Our plans
included a multi-hour walk/ hike up the coast to do our darndest
to capture the sunset and the water.

    Matthew Saville.

    Matt Saville

Now, before I dive into more pictures, I've got to let you into a little
secret.... My friend Matt Saville is a HUGE geek!!!!! He's also a
Nikon shooter, and a fan of all things Nikon-esque.

That's why it was such a kick to see him playing with Alex's
Canon 1D-MKII N and 24mm Tilt Shift Lens.

    "Geekdom"

    Matt Canon Shooter

And of course, here's Mr. Alex as well.

    Alex Shooting

He'd just gotten a hold of one of my new toys... a Canon 15mm
fisheye. I think he was in love, lol.

Further down the coast, Matt (ever the avid landscape photographer)
jumped over a barricade and scrambled barefoot across a handful of
boulders so he could grab the perfect angle.

Here's my take of his 'adventure shoot'.

    Matt Shooting Laguna.

    Matt Shooting

    Matt Shooting Laguna Numero Dos.

    Matt Shooting 2

Trying to capture the movement of the water without blowing
the sky toooo far was a real challenge. You can count on a
good tripod, and a couple of ND filters being on my shopping
list in the very near future.

The whole crew (Matt, Mary, Alex and myself) went up a bit
further North to capture the last bit of the sunset, and allow Matt
to play around with all his fun portraits.

    "Masterview"

    Masterview

Whoa, looking at all these photos, and the current time....
I'm going to have to make at  least one more 'Laguna Post'.
Plus I have the photos from the Redwood wedding as well!

Check back later this week for both

    _______________________________________________

All in all this visit has been wonderful, but it's also
had it's share of insanity, so I'd really appreciate all of your
    Prayers, when you can!

Talk Soon, I'm supposed to be departing in a few hours

  • Coming Soon...

...To A Redwood Forest Near You.

    I'm in love!
    With this town, that is.

The Eureka, CA area is amazing... I'll have quite a few
updates from my 4 days here, just you wait!

In primary news, this afternoon and evening was spent
shooting my new friends Christin and Jase's wedding rehearsal.
They are a beautiful, and hilariously fun couple (as is their whole
    family .

Christin is one of three children, and the third one to get married
in the past six weeks! I told her parents that they sure knew how
    to have a "fire sale"

Here are couple of preview shots... More coming after the
traditional service, and our portrait shoot in a gorgeous redwood
    grove... I can't wait!

    Without Further Ado:

And now, I'm off to sleep....
Please keep all of us here in Eureka in your prayers
(For great weather, wonderful ceremony, and no issues with the photos!)

  • 'Left' Coast...

    ...Here I Come!!

    It's about that time again...
Time to hide your children, lock up your chickens,
say your prayers, and run away from the flying
    monkeys.

That's right... I'm headed back to the 'Left' Coast

A few weeks ago, I was contacted for a last minute
wedding reservation up in the Redwoods, near
Eureka, California. To be honest, I'm STOKED!

I fly out Thursday of next week, so expect to see
highlights from the shoot soon there-after...

If you've been reading my blog long, then you might
remember my epic journey all over the continent
    last
year on my motorcycle (with my buddy Ethan).

Though I've spent a good portion of my life out in
California, that trip was special, largely because of
the way we saw things on the bikes, and the way I
was able to capture it through my lens.

Without further ado, here are some of my favorite
    (never-
    before-seen) photos from that trip

    "In The Midst Of Giants"

    Those trees are SO big!
The bridal portraits are going to be a blast

    "Details"

Sometimes it's really a cool thing to go through old pictures,
it's like re-experiencing all of the joy, and excitement from
    days gone by.

I get a real kick out of it

    "The Coast"

    San Fran Coast

The shot above, was taken just North of the
Golden Gate Bridge. The fog was rolling in
just before sunset, and the colors were gorgeous!

    "Coastal Birding"

    Coastal Birding

Remember the picture of Ethan from my last post?
The one with the lighthouse in the background?
This was taken just before that, the morning after
    our visit to San Francisco.

    "Bases Loaded"

    already "raising the bar".

    High Desert Sunset

This photo was taken a few hours after we'd hit the road
from Laguna Beach. Just 45 hours later, we'd roll into
Chattanooga, TN, thoroughly exhausted, but accomplished!

    __________________________________________

And now, it's back to work for me... I have a lot of photos
to edit from Saturday's fashion show in Miami Beach.

Let me know if I can be praying for you, please keep me
in your prayers as well.. I need 'em!

P.S. Which photo did you like best??

P.P.S. Southern California people... I'm coming to see you too!
    I'll be in Laguna Beach on the 15th - 18th or 19th... Let's shoot

  • I Had A Bad Dream...

    ...Something Just Wasn't Right.

I stumbled along, my feet nearly giving way under the
weight of the heavy camera bags slung over my shoulders.

The cracked pavement of the sidewalk seemed to rise up
as if to grab me, the grass growing through it reaching out
to slow down my frantic run.

    It almost succeeded...
Then, 'he' suddenly spotted me and yelled:

"Hurry! You're late... You need to be there NOW"

The man was holding a large sponge and a bucket of soapy
water, but he was wearing a black tux with the tie undone.
I knew him of course and shouted back:

    "I know, I know... I'm so sorry"

That's when I realized that I was dreaming about being late
to the ceremony of a wedding I was shooting... In Las Vegas,
and with a bride and groom I've already seen married.

    Ahhh the nightmares of photographers.

In my 'real life' I'm living in the midst of a handful of other
    exciting happenings.

    1. I'm moving... I know, I JUST moved here.
But thankfully my need for alarm clocks and
my desire to remain in the putrid heat of South
      Florida have both run out.

    2. This week I've been scheduled for two MORE
      weddings this Summer/ Fall.

    3.  I'm very excited about this!
(But am more than a little open to filling any
of the empty weekends I have left... Know anyone?)

    4. I'm shopping... It's new camera time. I'll post more
about the new recruit when she arrives.

    5. You can't have a proper list without a fifth item, right?

And now, as it's late and I have loads to do on the 'morrow
So I'll fill in blanks later... Feel free to pelt me with questions,
but first I have one for you:

As of Mid-August, I will be 'homeless'...

I'm looking to move somewhere beautiful, somewhere in
the US (for now) and somewhere where the people have
    passion filled spirits.

Do any of you have ideas for me?
    Where should I move?

Next post I'll share my thoughts, but I want to get yours first!

    _________________________________________________

    Onto The Photos...
I have a haberdash of photos to share with ya'll...
Some captured recently, some not so recent.

Each with a story to tell, each with a life of it's own.
I'll try to keep 'em brief

    _________________________________________________

    "Wait!"

    Wait!

Last I left you, I was in Illinois shooting the Drake's wedding.

My flight back had a scheduled stop in Atlanta so after a boatload
trouble with Delta and my checked baggage (I refuse to check my
camera equipment),  and a friend promising to take me for an 11
hour ride home, I decided to spend some time with my lovely Julie.

    "Hungry Julie"

    Hungry Julie

A couple nights later we got together with a few friends who'd
been after me for a shoot for quite some time.

Ben White is a drummer who's recently been sponsored by
"Battlefield Drums" he'd just received his new drumset and was
more than eager to show it to the world! We found an incredible
spot right in downtown Atlanta and proceeded to setup a shoot
that ended up lasting until nearly 4:00AM.

What an awesome shoot it was!

We were on top of some old factory buildings that had

been converted to gorgeous lofts...  The roof was covered

in a patchy sheet of water from the night before, and I ended

up pretty much soaked from the waist down before the night

    was over.

I think it was worth it.

    "Benjamin White"

    Ben - Rooftop

This effect achieved by using a 6 second long exposure... Free handed as usual, heh.
I need a good tripod.  Fellow photogs, any ideas?

    "Alabama Skunk"

    Ben8

(He has a mullet that is bleached in hilarious places...
I will never understand the supposed attraction of the
    punk/ scene/ emo haircuts, lol).

Our location boss for the evening was one of Ben's
    closest friends....

    "Angst (Or Love?)"

    Ben6

Another close Atlanta friend came along for the shoot.
If you've read my blog long, you'll recognize him from some
    of my favorite stage shoots.

    "Rickey Cole"

    Rickey

The lighting up there was atrocious.
The moon finally came up to give us SOME ambient
light, but before it came along I was relying fully on
flash, and/ or high ISO speeds with long exposures.

Next time I'll bring a much more complete lighting rig.

    _____________________________________________________

Now let's make a BIG jump.
On occasion when I'm feeling the need to travel, I'll go back
through some of my old photos... Mainly those from last years
    motorcycle trip to Alaska.

My most recent adventure down memory lane took me to
    San Francisco, California...

So now you get to see:

    "Me"

    Eric - Golden Gate One

Many thanks to Ethan for snapping this one.

    "Daisy"

    Daisy - Shade

I'm not sure why, but I absolutely adore this image...
The shadows, light, and the daisy... The love portrayed,
    felt and known.

Besides, they were really cool people!

I was just starting to get the hang of dragging the shutter...

The night those photos were taken, Ethan and I stayed in a
super cool hostel inside a lighthouse keeper's home.

The next morning I snapped one of my all time portraits
    of my adventuresome friend.

    Back to Florida.
Another one of my favorite people, Jason asked me to do
a shoot for a new album he's working on...

    "I Almost Died"

    Jason7

This one really did nearly kill me.
We were four stories up, climbing above a dark alleyway
when the ladder supporting me and my precious camera bags
suddenly came loose from the wall.

    Yeeha!

All's well that ends well though, right?
    I love the shot.

    "Jason or Bono?"

    Jason3

These last two, I need your help with...
    Which do YOU prefer?

    "Waiting"

    Or:

    "Walleye"

That's it for me folks... Please be Praying for Wisdom, and blessings
to be on me and with me during these next few months. Let me know
If I can be praying for you.

    I'd like to.

P.S. If you do nothing else, let me know where you think I should
move... My next year could be in your hands!

  • I'm Open...

    For Business!!

That's right folks, it's really... Truly official.
June 2nd I shot another beautiful wedding this one
for my friend Ms. Sara Davis... Err, Mrs. Sara Drake.

Below you'll find an assortment of the photos from
the day, please let me know what you think!

Also, if you have any friends getting married, or you
    are yourself, contact me!

    eric (at) blueshoephotography.com

If you get me a gig, I'll be more than happy
to cut you a handsome check.

Now that that's all behind us, on with the tale!

I flew out from South Florida early Friday morning,
set to arrive in Illinois' corn country just before the
rehearsal. After a 3 hour layover in Atlanta, that's
exactly what I did. As we taxied up to the Bloomington
airport, I realized that this was "My kind of place".

No jetways, no crazed passengers (or crew) no
smoking announcements in the so-called terminal...
    I loved it!

An hour++ later and after seemingly endless cornfields
we spotted the historic Chapel off in what looked to be
    a sea of green.

    "Sanner Chapel"

    Chapel

    Quaint, isn't it?
Well, after the rehearsal and a delicious Italian dinner,
I headed off to my hotel to prepare for the next days festivities.

And by prepare... I mean PRAY.
See, my Canon 350D has nearly 200,000 actuations on it now...
It's showing me card errors, and occasionally the buttons refuse
    to work as directed.

For a week and a half I'd been trying to get my back up rig
delivered with little success... I spent over 5 HOURS on the
phone with UPS trying to get things straightened out, the night
before... Then ran to the regional headquarters only to be told
that they'd had a computer error and my rig was already headed
    to my house!

Sounds like a good thing, right?
    Wrong.

My flight was leaving 45 minutes later, and the HQ was
30 minutes from home... No dice.

Anyway, $210+ in shipping, and a $300 emergency stop
at a camera store later, and all of my gear arrived in Illinois
just before I took off to the Chapel.

    Whew!

    (Next time I'm shipping DHL)

The morning was filled with preening, and laughter right
up to, and through our photo shoots.

    "Purity"

    Cheap Mirror Shot

I have to admit... I HATE B&W shots with selective color,
ESPECIALLY at weddings, but this one didn't communicate
the message I wanted without it... So I suppose we all have
    to settle a bit

We shot the portraits before the ceremony, so the bride had
the groom stand with his back to her at the front of the aisle.
I wish you could have seen the amazement on his face when
he turned around, and the shyness on hers... SO precious!

    And The Gentlemen...

How incredible are the expressions in this next one?

    "Hilarity Ensues"

    Crack Up

This really was a neat wedding for me, as though I was actually

a friend of the bride, the more I learned about the groom the

more I discovered our similarities... The largest perhaps was

his multi-month motorcycle trip last summer, all over the US.

Way cool guy! (Good pick Sara
    )

Now, rather than spoil the bride's surprise with the shots from

inside their ceremony, I'll jump ahead a bit further to our time

AFTER the ceremony, in a gorgeous public garden.

Right after I took this shot, the groom took it upon himself to

I caught this a moment later.

    Love those... Man.
    Great couple!

It started sprinkling right as we arrived, and finally picked
up to a steady raid just before we announced the wedding
party to the guests. Annoying perhaps... But it let me catch
    this shot

    "Blown Out"

Of course, the cake was gorgeous.

    Cake

And that's all I have time to post right now.
Let me know if you have anyone in your life that
would like me to shoot their wedding!

(And don't let travel hold you back, I LOVE to travel

  • Another Day....

    Another Escapade.

    For Such Is My Life!!

Home from Texas just last week (and Chicago the week before)
I'm currently packing for a weekend trip to Decatur, Illinois to
    shoot a wedding.

One of these days, I promise to write out another 'epic' post like
    my famous ones of yesteryear... The timeless favorite;

    "I Hate The Amish"

    And the dangerous but sincere:

"Can You Hear Me Now? - Why Telephone Poles And I Just Don't Mix"

For now though, you're going to have to live with one more
    muddled post of photographic lore.

    "An Epic Destination"

    Nudieville
    *Ethan Demme*

This one's too funny to me, I caught him standing there just months
before his wedding, at an art festival with Bri and Mrs. H... Best yet,
he had no idea what he was standing in front of until after I pointed
    it out.... Hilarity ensued.

My last from that location... Thought the texture was too cool.

    "Corkscrew"

    "Rails To No Where"

    Tracked

Ignoring the annoying stoplight... Love the lines in this one.

    "The Ferrari Of Motorcycles"

    Ducati In Garage

    Ducati... Shot in my garage

    "Jonathan"

    Jonathan - Lighted

I spotted the lighting here, and couldn't resist the shot...
Way too cool, eh? (Laptop on his lap, and two incandescent bulbs
    from behind on each side).

    "The Perfect Curve"

    Curved Moon

    I love the moon.

And that's all for today folks... Would appreciate your prayers
for this wedding... Both the couple, and my efforts (and safety!)

Hoping for a more complete update in the time to come.

    Ciao!

P.S. Have any friends getting married? Perhaps yourself?
I'll write YOU a check if you get me more shoots

  • The Latest...

From My Side Of The World.

    I love you... Dear Reader.
And in an attempt to better listen to you and your
kind comments, I'm going to do my best to update
this blog a bit more frequently.

Of course, that means I'll have to use fewer photos
and less words, but I don't think any of you will mind
    too much

    So, without further ado...

This month's been a bit crazy.
From Florida to Atlanta for 5 days of conferences.
From Atlanta to Tennessee to pack all my stuff into

a Uhaul and then make the overnight sprint back to

    South Florida.

Since then, I've spent a day in Chicago, a week with

my Julie, a day sick, and finally met one of my longest

    standing employees.

I also experienced the great joy of having my laptop die

(again)... Which leaves me with very few pictures to

    choose from today.

Just two in fact... But they're special, as I get to share

my excitement for my new abode.

    "Marina Village"

    Marina Village 1

    "My Place"

    Marina Village 2

I'm half a mile from the beach, and right on the Intercoastal waterway.

    It's a 3 story townhouse, with a 2 car garage, 2 bedrooms, and 2.5 baths.

    Brand new, and lovely!

    Come Visit?

P.S. As often happens in life, I've got a lot going on right now...

Your prayers would be greatly appreciated, please let me know

if I can be praying for you as well.

  • Of Alarm Clocks...

    And Why They All Deserve...

    DEATH.

The past few weeks have been fairly insane.
I've worked over a hundred hours a week, leased
a new place, become a "regular" and forced myself
to use an alarm clock (kinda).

    The greatest challenge of those?
No, not the seemingly endless hours in the office,
not the worries of lodging, and the ridiculous hunt
    for furniture... The worst?

    Alarm clocks.

All my life I've been an entrepreneur.
With that lifestyle in mind, I have always had the
"perfect schedule" (or rather perfect LACK of  schedule).
I've taken great pride in never having to wake up to the
obnoxious beeping of that little electric box.

    Well, as they say...

    "Pride goes before a fall"

In early March I was recruited by someone I've always had
a lot of respect for in business. He offered me an amazing
opportunity... One that required me moving down to South
Florida and working side-by-side with the most elite of
    business people.

Somehow, when I said "Yes" I missed the fact that I'd have
to buckle down and live a lifestyle governed by one of the
worst atrocities ever known to man.

    Almost.

Instead of breaking down and actually using a "real" alarm
clock, I'm being awakened every bloody morning by my
cell phone alarm... So at least I still have SOME dignity
    within my semi-crushed "internet lifestyle"

    Moving On...

I know you didn't come here just to read of my hatred for
alarm clocks... So, I'll give you what you really came for...
    Pictures!

Though I've been working a ton, and haven't had a chance
to shoot a lot, I did take some time over the past few weeks
to edit (when I really should have been sleeping). So what
you'll find below is a plethora of images I've recently edited
    from:

        * My trip to Alaska - Hope to update that blog soon too!

        * Adventures down here in South Florida...

        * My new means of transportation...

        * My New York City trip...

    "THE Cabin"

    Cabin Small

*Exposed in The Yukon Territories, Canada during the
    most breathtaking sunset.
    It lasted several hours
and the light was like nothing I've

It's intensity, and beauty were amazing.
    So gold, so beautiful.*

    "Imminence"

    Awaiting

    *Alaskan Fishing Boats in Ketchikan...

This is one of my favorite images from the trip..

    Blue Shoe Shapes

Just a bit more geometrically this time

So, that's it for now... Please don't hesitate to leave
me your prayer requests, and if you don't mind...

Please be praying for me, I need a clearer view of
where God wants me to be, and a greater passion
    for where I am now.

Blessings to you all, new post with (really) new
photos should happen soon methinks .

P.S. I posted close to 20 shots on this entry...
    Which is your favorite?!?
