Greetings and salutations! You missed two great parties in the past three weeks. I finally logged into xanga after a forever of time and went hunting you down. Wasn't hard.
Let be honest here, I subscribed because I think you're hot. Hope you dont mind.
Go figure. Sorry about that. Please feel free to recoment and -chat me. I gotta watch those spastic mouse clicks.
How you feeling?

Speaking of medical necessity - how are your recovering? Hope your holiday was fulfilling.

Keep us updated on your site. Are you staying busy?

you're in my prayers.
Also, how does your buddy with the 250 deal with the suspension shortcomings or is he a skinny little dude? I found fork springs already and I suppose I can put in heavier viscosity fork fluid, but the rear could use some help and a steering damper would really make a big difference.
I just read a a funny article about a guy with a 250. He points out the same damping problems and says KAwasaki should be ashamed, but after 13 years they have learned to live with the shame. I didn't know the 250 had been around that long.
He also says that the 250 is into S&M because it practically begs to be flogged. I agree with that. I can no way keep that thing within the break-in parameters. I got up to an indicated 95 this morning.
That steering looseness bothers me as much as the soft forks. Does your buddy use an aftermarket damper?

As I said I have ridden extensively and know what I am getting into here. I will be upgrading along and will give you a shout for your recommendations.
The AFX helmet actually looks pretty good and is nice and lightweight, so I don't know if I will be returning it or not. But I will look over what scorpion has.
Shoei was the best when I was riding last - lightweight and tough. That's why I started looking at them. Price scared me away pretty quickly.

I have a bellaclava somewhere and glove liners along with silk longjohns for cold weather. I also ordered gauntlet style gloves and regular sport riding gloves. I have ridden in wintertime before and know what I am up against there.
I also got a disk lock, a 15mm hardened steel cable lock, and a chain lock to secure that thing to my old pickup bumper so it doesn't run off.
Gotta dig up a backpack and some bungie cords to haul my crap to work.
What else?

There are lots of reasons for my decision. I may post on them. It is supremely flickable and will do 100+. That is what I need. 'Sides it has a new warranty and is affordable.
Hope all is going well with you.

I am beat. Too much going on right now. Will get back with you when things settle a bit. The SV-650S is interesting. Lightweight and narrow. I like that. Fairly inexpensive. Might be a good choice.

I have considered the SV1000 and it is just not nearly the bike the FZ is. I think I may try for an FZ and if they won't approve me, I will go with the 600. I am kind of intrigued by the 600 anyway as it is super light. It won't torque like the grand will, but from what I am reading it will have plenty of HP anyway and more affordable. I can always bump up later if I just have to.
I am playing catchup today. I will try the yahoo tonight if I have time. My daughter uses it so at least she will know how to set it up.
Later,
Ron
