Snapshots…
No time to write a full entry, but here are a few shots from
last weeks Nashville Fashion Group shoot and my Wednesday
night concert shoot with Grayson Capps.Too much fun at both events!
(and now I have another 4,000 photos to sort through)So, without further ado…
The Venue in downtown Nashville
“Prep-Time”
“Details…”
“Small Strokes”
“Last Minute Perfectionism”
And another runway shot…
There were over thirty models, with 6 different designers, so I have
a TON of photos, but they get a little repetetive… Check out my photo
xanga if you want to see more. The next day, I had a shoot at “The Basement” a small venue, downtown.
The American Music Association was holding their annual awards show
and tons of concerts were being put on by them as well. I was in charge of
shooting Grayson Capps so that the venue could use the photos for
future marketing. The Basement is an amazing venue, the atmosphere is unexpected and
exciting… And it’s always PACKED!! Grayson Capps is from Louisiana,
and they were absolutely hilarious, and talented guys.“Blue Ribbon”
“Sing Your Heart Out…”
Just a cool angle…
Still nursing that Blue Ribbon…
That’s all I have time for now folks, let me know how
I can be praying for you…. A more complete update is coming soon.

mmm…fresh post.
i’d tell you what you could pray for…but that would just be repetitive…
the car has been smothered in prayer. smothered.
do you really sit down and pray for everything people mention? do you pray specifically for what they want or do you pray for guidance for them? just curious…
*hugs*
as always, thanks for the update and the pics. It’s wonderful to see the world thru someone elses eyes. You have a great eye for detail and just the right angle… thanks for sharing. I will be praying for YOU. hugs
May you and your faithful XT go places no slr have gone before! Having to sort such a huge load of pictures is tough, especially when you’re in the middle of the process and have two thousand more looming ominously before you. Happy editing to you!
Very cool pics!
Still amazes me!
You know what’s frustrating Eric? These are great pictures…
but then you see the sharp, crisp photos pros capture with their better cameras and lens and I realize my beloved DSLR is just a point and shoot!
OR…. maybe you and I still have a lot to learn
Venue, Details and Blue Ribbon are my fav’s.
oh wow, i love the picture with the makeup in the foreground….. you’re very talented.
I really like the shot of the pabst and the suitcase beside his boots
I like to look at the expressions on peoples’ faces. I wonder what they’re thinking/feeling…
I hope to do something like this someday.
aww Nashville. that city is still the residence of my heart.
Hey Eric, Check out this site: http://www.xanga.com/ThatsRough

VERY NICE WORK!..as always
The model shoot looked fun.. Sounds like you have been very busy. RYC…thank you : ) Also, if you would so kindly pray for my dad..for his surgery, and recovery. I believe in prayer greatly, and the healing that it does. Take care..Love you, Katie
That fashion shoot must have been AMAZING!!! Thanks for posting about it!!!
CD
When did you get into professional photography? Wow, taking pictures for money! Sounds like a fun way to live
!
Hey, I love the “small strokes” and “details” pictures. Of course, being the girl that I am, I think makeup’s fun anyway…
i like i like eric. i’m doing a fashion show next month also! what lens were you using when you were shooting the fashion show??
Inguiry: When is your birthday?
Awesom pix Eric…Your a pro!
Yay! I was wondering when you were going to post again!
Good work with limited indoor lighting!
RYC: The wide angle lens is Ashley’s, I think it’s 10-22mm, 3.5 or something
Isn’t fashion shooting so much fun? (I’ve never done it, but it looks like it is
And yes, I must agree, just being high on life is one asbolutely amazing feeling!!!
Nice work! Looking forward to seeing more!
Cheers,
-j

Caleb
Ps…sure, sure, visit my site and DON’T leave any comments, I see how it is.
you take the most awesome pictures!!!
Hey! Miss you…. and hearing your thoughts! Yah, sounds like you have heard of the wedding so you know that is the great prayer request in our household. You could also pray for my body to hold up this week….many many projects left to do and I can feel the body isn’t liking it already!
how are you doing? what can we be praying for you? Lord bless you! Jenny
Great photographs Eric! I have so missed visiting your site and when I have I have not been able to leave a comment. I was told that this is a rude thing to do so I apologize for that but I have tried to check up on you from time to time. You have been in my prayers this summer and will continue to be in them. I like your style fella!
Hope you have a great week. Take care!
Debbie
you just commented..so you’re online. but you should be on AIM. i need you.
thanks for coming by again eric. how are you btw.
Great shots, like always.
How are you healing?
I posted some new shots from Boston if you’re interested.
Hope all is well.
Beautiful shots.. I noticed you ride too. Keep up the great work mang!
Do you sell your pictures? I love the picture titled “Hwy 101!”
Sheesh…I totally missed this post…sweeeet shots.
Hope all is well.
ryc: all the shots I posted today had post-processing effects. The bakery one was first layered>motion blur applied with my friend cleared of the blur>then the same layer was darkened. I then flattened the image and darkened some of the window light a little more. Oh ya, I had to get rid of some ceiling lights as well. I think that’s it. I use those actions with reception dancing photos…it highlights the couple and gives a feel that they are the only important people in the room. I learned that from Scott Robert.
With shipping I paid a hair over $200. dude, its sooo worth the money too.

RYC; it’s not bad for the price. roughly around $300-$320.. and it’s very similiar to the canon L version. I really like my new 70-200 f/2.8L though
Thanks so much for your comment. come back by later or tomorrow, because I’m writing a post around you comment.
Blessings,
Lonnie
you sure are boring now that you have a girlfriend.
psh.
on your face.
snap.
LOVE the last shot.
and yes.. paint. mmm.
Hallo dearheart! The specific pic I’m referring to is here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/41677661/ and I linked to my account on my last post.
Ooh, I have particularly enjoyed the pictures on this entry!! You must tell me more about this experience in the world of fashion some time. Are you ever coming back to Dayton? (‘course, after another semester and a half, it won’t make much difference to me, huh? ah well..)
So, seeing The Prestige in Marietta, eh? Which theater ya going to? *stalker vibe* (just kidding ^_^)
My dear friend….Please forgive me for not making myself more clear in my most recent post. I did not mean for my post to become an attack on you. For most of my life my thoughts on depression could be summed up in the exact words you used. Your comment was merely a catalyst for the post. I didn’t communicate effectively. What I don’t want to do is blunt your honesty. I am deeply appreciative of your honesty. We may not always agree, but honesty is solid gold.
Also I do not wish to be a “Job’s buddy”. I have experienced many of the difficulties you are now going through. I am deeply touched by your suffering. I will carry your troubles as a prayer burden. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do. I don’t live so far that I can’t get to where you are fairly quickly. This is a genuine offer, and there are no strings attached. God has never attached strings to His love for me, and I don’t sin against Him by attaching strings to what I offer.
God Bless and Keep You In Him,
Lonnie
Well~ The photo is excellent !!
especially the “Small Strokes”…!!

Congrats on the Book photo contest…thought that phot was yours, would have voted for it, but Greg’s bible in the wind was so different.

Debbie

Oh! Just a week or so ago, some guys came over our house to record a few songs (Dad has all the equipment required to turn our livingroom into a recording studio) and I did the photography for the album cover and CD face! It was too much fun…
I think you’ll like my new post, you should check it out! Well, I must be going, God be wth you in all you do.
Love in Christ, Caleb
Thanks so much Eric….You are in my prayers continually. God will get you out and above the circumstance!
