My Mac’s back…
My Apple died last week, and left me working with an ancient Dell.

my stepdad died unexpectedly yesterday…..please pray for me and my family as i tell my children today……thank you eric!
Love the straw picture! Am glad to see that you are back! Can’t wait for the regular updates to start back up. There is a prayer request on my entry if you get a chance to stop by, it is for a friend.
God Bless you and Keep you,
jes
Cool collage of pictures there.
You can say a prayer for my husband and his employees. Today is the grand opening (to the public) of his new restaurant (Rib Shack franchise). And he hasn’t had much sleep for the last week or so.
For me you can pray that I would trust that God desires good things for us, as His children, but that my hope would be in Him. . .not in this venture. Thanks eric. Erika
Yay for iBooks coming home! And more pictures! : )
Love the composite. Nothing but praises this beautiful day.
you were in a dream i had the other night.

Good to hear from you! I love that straw picture; I remember when you first posted it
Aaah, but where would you have been without the ancient Dell? It was good for something, right? Well…I’m glad you’re a happy guy now. Looking forward to more photos. This collage is great…fun stuff.
George and I are on vacation right now in Lake Tahoe, near the Nevada border. We visited the ghost town of Bodie yesterday…awesome photo opportunities…we kinda went nuts, passing the camera back and forth to each other. It was a lot of fun, can’t wait to share.
Glad you’re back posting.
thanks! and that airplane shot is cool. perfect clouds to complement the green grass.
Awesome. Looking forward to the post..
Happy happy you have your Apple back.
Be careful on that bike babe.

Glad to see you back.
i’m uber jealous of all your awesome pictures. what kind of camera are you using these days? your konica minolta? i love the top 4, the mirror and the waterfall one best of all. great shots!!
Beautiful pics!
Do you have a Deviant Art account? Because… you should.
PS I hope you liked my makeup pics, even though they’re not of the same caliber as your pictures are.
What I thought was a flower isn’t and I’m quite glad I’m wrong too, because it’s so very interesting, yes!
[I'm in Germany for business, actually, so it means cramming as many different stops on one-day Sunday scrambles as possible.]
Aha! You’re still out there!
You’ve never been in any of MY dreams. Which is just as well, because the people I dream about usually get decapitated or eaten by monsters or something similarly gruesome.
Great pics!! Is the bottom right a camera shake photo?? I love doing those at night with lights!! Very fun!
Jumped over from foreverythingleftunsaid (she is my neighbor – cool girl) and thought I would say hello. Awesome photography here.
Oh no no, a place would be the only agreement, and it would be up to the randomness of our individual lives to take us to that point at whatever time–no prearranged meetings, unless someone else happens to be there at the same spot at the same time…
coincidence!
Thanks for stopping by, I’ve been wondering how you were doing-Can’t wait to see pics-Hope everything is okay-Pls Pray for my son-He just shipped off to Ft Benning…Thanks-Have a great week!
thanks for the comment!

Oh man, I love the straws! The other ones are cool too.
so, that one talk…yeah. it happened last night.
just thought you’d wanna know.
I don’t know how I missed this post a few days ago….oh yeah my broadband was down, and I was sick. I’m glad you’re Apple’s back in your hands. Check your email!
Blessings
Lonnie
Im a Mac user too!
how did you get your pics like that in a “cluster” and how did you get them to run down the side of your xanga?
Vielen Dank!
Oh wow, I love the picture of the door. That’s really cool! Glad to see that you’ve gotten your computer back! It makes me feel like something’s missing if mine isn’t working. It’s always a relief when it’s back in order.
RYC: haha, thanks.
Did you go to Bryan (the college)? We had a professor from there speak at the leadership conference that I went to.
ryc: The ghost town I photgraphed is called Bodie. If you had come down through the eastern side of California (instead of the coast) you would have passed by the exit, about two hours south of Reno, Nevada. Next time you’re in Cali, you’ll have to visit there.
Hi. A lot of people leave you a lot of comments everytime you post something new. Do you read all of their comments? Do you visit all of these people’s blogs? You and this guy “kb3emj” look really alike. I was surprised when I first saw his profile picture and I misunderstood that you had two blogs. Anyway, sorry to know about the motorcycle accident you’ve had. Hope you have a great day. –paweena–
Yay! Glad to hear more to come! Lots to pray about these days…my sis Cathy, job for hubby Bob, us moving?, my body would feel better, mostly doing what God would want for us! How bout you? Lord bless you…praying for you! Jenny
PS my hubby has been talking and emailing with your Dad alot

Ooo, I love the photo in the middle with the straws.
I want to edit wedding photos
ryc~ you’re pretty wonderful too
yep. but it’s not basic training for privates. we get a little more freedom as officers =]
It is good to see you back.
Amazing group of images. Nice seeing, excellent use of light. Thanks for your encouraging words about the Canon Explorers of Light.
Peace,
Bob Davis
Hey Eric! Great pictures! How are things going for you? and why are you in Atlanta?
The week of April 21 sounds good. I work full-time now, so I’m not sure what my schedule will be like in 6 months, but I definitely wanna meet up with you. Let me know when you have a firm date. I can help you plan your trip out. Send me a list of things you want to see and I’ll try my best to help you out.
Thank you Eric. I can feel the prayers. I know you can relate. How are you & is there anything I can be praying for you about?
Ugghh! I am empathizing with the dead computer! Mine is currently somewhere in the Dell system getting fixed…GRRRR
Glad to hear your computer is back! I would totally dread not having mine. My clunky old PC couldn’t handle me now! Love your photos! Truly each one is beautiful; the natural lighting and setting… perfect!!! ~ Dawn
STRAWSSS
Hey, you’re back!

This is a very cool site…glad I stumbled on. Great profile pic you’ve got there!!
I love flying too…starting to work on my PPL in the next few months…
Have a great Monday!
Ann
yup! I’m getting the 6 speed MT
Eric hope all is well with you. I would love to hear from you. Judi
Wonderful to hear from you Eric and know all is well. Judi
RYC: HA, I hardly consider a margarita and a shot of tequila wimpy. I just failed to mention that on my blog because I have some really young readers. I also believe in drinking responsibly and that can sound worse than it is. It was definitely fun times though. The Aggies have some strange traditions but somehow they end up seeming really cool in the end.
RYC: Eric, thanks for your prayers. Did you change your email? How’s the knee? Drop a line bro.
Blessings,
Lonnie
it was a 2003 3-series… but i dont like bmw’s as much lexuses. lexuses are just more comfortable.
Define very soon…..still waiting…..
come say hi sometime! Lord bless you! Jenny
Fall weather in Tenn. Must be beautiful…sure would be nice to see some pictures…HINT
hey, I was just wondering how you get all of your rich colors! Especially in that one with the plane and the motercycle in the grass. Do you photoshop? And if you do….how the heck??
Dang buddy… you get so many comments! =) Anyway, I saw your link on the xanga front page with the “boosted content” people, so I thought I’d stop by and congratulate you. lol Hope everything’s going well!
These photos are amazing.
hahaha me a nut? infatuated with what? my gf?
RYC: I’m sure your bike gets better mileage than any car I’ve ever had!
random prop…..I think that I’ve inspired to pursue photography now. Thank you!
As usual…you leave us with beautiful photos
“boosted content” How in the world does that come about? I’m clueless.
If I were you, I would either slack on all responsibilities to get your Xanga comments read, and possibly visit SOME of your friends’ blogs, or I would have to smile at all the comments and never read them simply to get your “non cyber world” responsibilities accomplished. So…. IF you DO read this, are you slacking in other areas? haha
I have to tell you though, I’ve been going through my “stuff” and I came across one of my “old” prayer journals. You had the fullest page of everyone, and amazingly I’ve seen answers to most of them! I love our God! Blessings Sir Eric! ~ Stephanie
Hello Eric,
I like your site. You worked hard to make it more interesting than most. I see that you love to take pictures!
I like to write articles about God and religion on my site. I want to help people to really get to know God, especially in these troubled times. Jesus gave us a message of hope that is in the Bible: “And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then, finally, the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14) (NLT) I hope you get a chance to look at them.
i want an update.
Awesome man love your recent work!
dude.
we need to catch up!
i haven’t talked to you in ever.
).
i need advice
Have a wonderful thanksgiving and thanks for being my xanga friend. Judi
Hello, I hope this finds you doing wonderful. My internet service was out last week for almost a week. UGH! By the way I saw did the Ocoee River!~ I did the whitewater rafting with one of my daughters (twins) for my b-day in September. I have the pictures on front of my site. Please have a wonderful and Blessed Thanksgiving. Sharon in Athens, GA
did i say it was you?
i hope your time in florida is a good one. i’m praying for you.
i won’t be on AIM all week, and i know you don’t really need me to talk to…but you know you can still call me for any reason.
i miss you.
Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Come see me soon!!!
i haven’t seen your pictures in a while, but man… your work has definitely improved a TON!
Well then, start feeling that hate;) That is indeed a 10-22mm canon lens. My roommate’s in fact, and she lets me use it all the time. (Her dad sent it to her as a gift, along with an external flash. I’m only half kidding when I say that I might send him a thank you note myself.)
btw, where is this post you promised us…oh like a month ago?
hello….Beautiful pictures! : ) Katie

Glad to hear your laptop is resurrected!
Ah, it was $40 for the weekend. 2.8 version. And oh man, my hand kills from holding that lens…. http://www.vistek.ca/rentals/ for their pricelist
RYC: Thanks so much.
I’m going to be putting some stuff up for sale on Craigs list but thought I’d let you know in case you’re interested.
I have a Quantaray 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 LDO macro auto- and manual-focus zoom lens for Canon. That should be astronical telescope length on your camera.
I’m also selling a Canon EOS IX, but I don’t think you want a film camera.
If you’re interested, let me know.
If you could pray for a smooth move to my new apartment next weekend, that would help. My landlady is (unfortunately) insane, and I never know what to expect from her.
I hope you had a good Thanksgiving, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who’d like to hear about it.
Write soon!
thanks man, I dont have a rig right now, its in the works lol
TY BROTHER. i WILL TOO.
RYC: hah thanks for the comment
who doesn’t want a 70-200 f/2.8 lol
where are the updates!
I’ll take whatever I can get for the camera body. I didn’t mention much about it because I didn’t think you’d want a film camera. It’s the IX model, which means it takes APS film. For a film camera, I like it. It’s small and light. This one has had probably less than a dozen rolls go through it.
It cost around $300 when I bought it, but film cameras have plumeted in price since then. I was kind of thinking around $100, but you probably have a better idea of what it’s actually worth. I’d probably accept almost any offer.
I feel I should mention that I’ve loaned it to two different people who both brought it back saying that the battery was low, but they bought a new one and it said the battery was still low.
In the camera’s defense, they both also said they bought film for it. I asked them why they didn’t use the film I put in the camera bag next to the instruction manual I recommended they read. They both said they didn’t remember me telling them about the film, and oh, is there a manual?
I have tried several times to duplicate the problem with no success.
I assume that neither of them understood how to operate the camera and that it’s OK, but I’m selling it in as-is condition.
I’ll check on the internet to get a better idea of a fair price, but feel free to make an offer.
glad your computer is back up! time for pictures!
ryc~ thank you Master Eric
looooooooooooooooooooove the shots of the straws! at first, i thought it was some flower
Thanks for the comment, looking forward to new pictures from you.

*pumpkin
ryc: the shot was taken with a 70-200mm L f/4. how’s it going?
Them’re some nice photos.
I love the gnarled tree and the doors the most.
